Hello all!

The wiki is up to
82 articles. We now have articles covering the manga, anime, movies, and games — That's right! All forms of media in the Dragon Ball universe at least have their first articles on this wiki! As we begin our final approach towards our first 100 articles, we have to get more serious about our policies as a wiki.

To do that, we need to answer a few questions:

- What sets us apart from Dragon Ball Wiki?
- What can we do to better ourselves?

The first question is not so easily answered as one might think. What
sets us apart from Dragon Ball Wiki? Is it that we rightfully consider
Dragon Ball GT non-canon? Is it that we use the original manga names? Is it that we make sure our articles are well sourced? The truth is, all of those questions can be answered with
Yes, but there is another thing that sets us apart: we take our policies seriously.

Dragon Ball Wiki likes to harp on everyone about its Manual of Style, but their Manual of Style is very outdated. Furthermore, it is rarely followed (look at the structure of their articles) and is only used as a tool to block users who might actually want to help, but who aren't scratching the backs of the established community.

Here that is
not the case. We do have a
Manual of Style, yes. We also have a variety of
policies and we expect them to be followed. Why? Because they give our wiki a nice visual appeal and also because it nicely organizes our content. It also ensures that users
and admins are kept in line. Unlike Dragon Ball Wiki, here being an "admin" (sysop) does not make you better than anyone who isn't. You're allowed to disagree with them; you're allowed to debate with them. The admins can step in and quash a situation if needed, but overall, everyone in the community is equal and has an equal voice.

Which brings me to my point.

Another thing that sets us apart is our
Image policy. So far, we've barely used the policy due to a lack of templates in place. I am happy to say that is no longer a problem. From here, forward,
images MUST be sources and licensed using the proper template or they will be deleted on sight! Also, make sure your images are categorized. This will ensure that we don't get into any legal trouble over our images and it also makes it easier to weed out fanart and unofficial material.
