The Bear Hug is a Physical Martial Arts Technique in which a user clinches their target into a body-lock in close-quarters, where the user's arms are constructed around the target along with the hands cogently locked around the target.

Usage[]

The user applies this standing-up over the target's chest, thighs or abdomen. The technique tightly crushes one's target under immense pressure based on the user's physical strength. This gives the user great control and dominance over the target, due to the pressure being exerted onto the target's sternum, often hurting the back bones and muscles as well as forcing air out of the lungs. Sometimes even causing internal bleeding.[1] In other instances when the user is much smaller the restrained target can still have difficultly getting out of the technique.[2]

Variation[]

The Reverse Bear Hug is a variation inverted Bear Hug. Where a user can apply their hands similar to the original but behind the opponent's mid or lower back and presses their into their sternum, while pulling his locked hands inwards towards the user.[3]

Trivia[]
