Beat (ビート, Bīto) is a Dragon Ball Heroes player. In Dragon Ball Heroes, he is a Saiyan Hero.

Background[]

Personality[]

Appearance[]

Notably, Beat exhibits traits commonly associated with Son Gokū and his sons when they were children; possessing soft facial features and fair skin. His hair ー being black in colour ー is spiky and stands upright at a left angle, resembling that of a Super Saiyan. In terms of attire, Beat wears a gi identical to the one worn by Son Goten; consisting of an red top over a yellow undershirt, with long sleeves, and red pants. The pants are tied by a teal obi, and Beat wears black shoes with yellow wrappings.

In Class-Up, Beat's clothes are reminiscent of his initial outfit with notable changes. While he still wears a gi, the neckline of the top is significantly deeper and the undershirt is now black. Additionally, he dons a yellow cape and a teal sash, as well as a matching set of black cuffed gloves and boots with white accents.

In Super Class-Up, Beat sports a new attire once more; consisting of a red overcoat with yellow lining, white pants and black boots ー identical to those worn by Son Gokū ー with yellow lining, tied together with matching laces. His black undershirt now covers the palms and back of the hands, with the teal sash tied towards his right hip. He also wears a set of light gold armbands.

In God Class-Up, Beat wears an outfit based on the traditional garb of a Kaiōshin — a black sleeved outfit with a teal obi, black pants, a red robe with yellow lining, buttoned at the chest, and black boots with a red line in the center as well as teal wrapping. He also wears a set of black gloves as well as light gold cuffs.

In Super God Class-Up, Beat's outfit consists of a red vest, a black short sleeved undershirt, white pants and a set of red boots with black armored tips ー which resemble Son Gokū's in Dragon Ball Z: Revival of "F" ー with matching fingerless gloves. His pants are once more held up by a teal obi, with a yellow sash hanging from it. He retains this attire in Ultimate Class-Up Omen whereas in Ultimate Class-Up, there are some modifications; the vest is swapped with a cropped version that is reflective silver in colour, as well as the teal obi being replaced with a red one.

In Dragon Ball Heroes, Beat has access to the Super Saiyan transformation. Within the promotional trailers, Beat achieved this form upon witnessing Legendary Super Saiyan Broly's brutal onslaught on Son Gokū and using his rage as a catalyst.[2] Since then, it has remained a staple in his arsenal and allows him to fight on par with the likes of Freeza's Aids,[3] and later on, defeat Trunks, Son Goten, Son Gohan and Videl who were infected by the Neo Machine Mutant Baby.[4]

In the Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission spin-off manga, Beat displayed the ability to access the Super Saiyan transformation from the beginning of the series,[5] and uses it on numerous occasions.

Trivia[]

  • Interestingly, Beat's name does not follow the traditional name scheme of Saiyan's vegetable-related puns; in Beat's case, his name is a pun on a musical beat, the basic unit of time which acts as the foundation of a song's rhythm.
    • However, Beat's name can also be a pun on beetroot (ビートルート, bītorūto).
