The Cell: Second Form is a heightened transformation obtained by Cell and the second in his evolutionary line.

Appearance & Personality[]

In his Second Form, Cell's appearance drastically changes. He now has a crown atop his head and a dark-colored nucleus at its center. His face has become more humanlike, as he has gained No. 17's blue eyes as well as the basic structure of a nose. He has also gained ear slots similar to Freeza.[3]

The rest of his body has also become more humanoid: he has proper hands now and lacks his wings. Cell remains his typical green-coloration in this form, however his abdomen and the top portion of his tail are a bright orange. He has also gained armored plating on his forearms and lower legs.[3]

In his second form, Cell's speed dramatically increases, allowing him to easily outrun No. 16 and No. 18 as they try to escape. His power and endurance also substantially increase, allowing him to shrug off attacks by No. 16 and even cripple wound the Android who had previously dominated him in battle. His endurance was high enough to allow him to resist multiple New Kikōhō blasts from Tenshinhan, though the blasts did manage to stall Cell long enough for the Androids to escape.[3]

Additionally, having absorbed No. 17, Cell has gained the ability to imitate his voice—a tactic he employs to confuse and stall No. 18.[3]
