The Cutesy Act is a skill used by Lanfan.

Usage[]

Ranfan uses the Cutesy Act primarily as a distraction skill. She raises her voice in a cute yell when her opponent comes in to attack her, effectively distracting them and causing them to lessen their force. When hit, she then pretends to cry in pain, and launches a surprise attack on the opponent when they are distracted by her act. The technique is cowardly, and when used by Ranfan, angered Namu at the 21st Tenkaichi Budōkai.[4][2]

In the movie Dragon Ball Z: The Dangerous Duo! Super Warriors Can't Rest, Son Goten himself employed a similar tactic, faking tears when he was hungry. This action, however, woke up Broly.[1][5]

Trivia[]

  • Despite the literal translation of Cutesy Act's Japanese term being "Cutesy Girl", the Daizenshū lists Goten as a user in the anime.[citation needed]
