"A Glimpse at the Mysterious Fifth Man" (なぞの五人目の男, Nazo no Goninme no Otoko; FUNimation "The Mysterious Fifth Man") is the seventy-fourth episode of the Dragon Ball anime.

Summary

Muten Rōshi briefs the others on the story of Akkuman. Akkuman fires his Akumaito Beam on Gokū. Gokū resists the beam entirely. Akkuman fires a stronger one. Gokū resists that one entirely as well. Akkuman then flails a trident at Gokū. A mysterious man wearing a cat mask and a halo on his head has been watching Gokū closely. Gokū almost falls in the Devil's Toilet but climbs on the other side of the bridge and surprises Akkuman. Gokū finishes Akkuman with a mighty kick. The final fighter requests Baba that he and Gokū fight outside. Rōshi senses some familiarity about the fifth fighter. The fight begins.
