A Do-Over is an ability used by Whis to turn back time.
Usage[]
Whis is capable of utilizing this ability through his Wand. While using the Do-Over ability, Whis can reverse time completely for a total of three minutes, completely returning events back to the way they were. This can be done in an attempt to change the past for the better if a mistake was made that can be immediately corrected. Whis states he typically uses it when Beerus makes a mistake that is detrimental, such as destroying the two suns around Beerus' Planet.[2] Whis stated he can't reverse time by more than three minutes and he won't able to do that again for a while.[3] When the Do-Over is done, only those inside of Whis' sphere are aware of the time-reversal. Anyone else will not realize time was reversed.
Trivia[]
- Unlike the time travel through Bulma's Time Machine, Whis' Do-Over doesn't seem to create a splintered timeline, and is referred to as 'reversing time', as opposed to time travel. This implies the skill is literally a form of chronomancy.
- Whis states in the dub of Dragon Ball Super that he manipulates the temporal dimension to make this ability work.
