The Dragon Balls are items used to summons Dragons who grant wishes, ranging from one to three. Sets of balls vary in size and number depending on who created them. Associated with Nameccians, its possible for planets to have Dragon Balls where the race resides.[4] Their existence isn't well known as the Kaiōshin Kibito Shin wasn't aware of them, though their ancestor Elder Kaiōshin was knowledgeable of the balls and viewed them as a mockery of nature.[5]

Background[]

The first known set of Dragon Balls were the Super Dragon Balls, created by the Ryūjin Zalama in the 41st year of the Divine Calendar. They are sets of magical balls, coming in varying amounts - the largest seemingly being a set of seven, and the least being a set of two.

Creation[]

Main article: Dragon Ball Creation The Nameccians developed the process of creating Dragon Balls by shaving off pieces of the Super Dragon Balls. The exact process is unknown, though the God of Earth implies it is a racial memory all Dragon-clan Nameccians are capable of performing.[6]

Appearance[]

Dragon Balls vary in size depending on the set, though they share commonalities in their appearance. Dragon Balls are all consistently orange, with alternating numbers of stars inside, going from one star up to seven, should the set allow for a full seven.
