Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2, localized as Dragon Ball Z (ドラゴンボールZ2, Doragon Bōru Zetto Tsū) in Japan, is a game developed by Dimps, and published by Atari in the United States and Europe — with Bandai Namco serving as publisher for the in Japan and Europe. It is playable on the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and GameCube. It was released February 5, 2004 in Japan, and December 4, 2003 in the United States. It features a retelling of the series from the beginning of the Saiyan Arc to the end of the Majin Boo Arc.
Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 was, fittingly, the second in the Budokai video game series, and would be followed by Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3.
