The Drawing out Dormant Power technique is a supplementary technique both the Oldest Elder and the Elder Kaiōshin to draw out the hidden, latent abilities of an individual.

Usage[]

ElderKaioshinUnlock

The Elder Kaiōshin unlocking Gohan's hidden potential.

This technique is a Power Up ability that will draw out the latent abilities of an individual, and has been used by two different people; the Oldest Elder, the oldest living Namekian and the creator of the Namekian Dragon Balls, and the Elder Kaiōshin, a Kaiōshin from 15 generations prior to the current. In the case of the Saichōrō, he simply needs to place his hand over the target's head, and he will bring out a partial amount of their latent abilities. If there is no potential to be unlocked, no change will occur. In the case of the Elder Kaiōshin, his ability brings out seemingly the totality of a target's hidden strength, and in doing so will take them beyond their present limits. However, this version of the technique is ritualistic and requires a dance that takes 5 hours then 20 hours of meditation.[1]

Trivia[]

  • In Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 DLC Extra Pack 1, Zamasu performs this ritual for the player character when he becomes their mentor.
