The Fist of Four Bodies is an ability unique to Tenshinhan, which allows him to split his body into multiple clones.

Usage

The Shishin no Ken is one of Tenshinhan's unique abilities, that allows him to take advantage of his abilities as a member of the Three-Eye People. Using these unique traits, Tenshinhan is capable of splitting his body into three additional clones, creating a total of four bodies. While initially appearing similar to the Afterimage Fist, the bodies created by the technique are very real and can cause physical damage to the opponent. Tenshinhan's use of this technique is typically followed by the standard combo of using all four bodies to attack with a ki blast from all sides, and when the opponent dodges by escaping into the air, striking them with his Beam Eyes. However, as he's created four physical bodies, Tenshinhan's power becomes divided among the bodies as well, leaving each body with a fourth of Tenshinhan's usual strength.[1]

After retiring to become a farmer, Tenshinhan uses this technique, in conjunction with the Shiyōken technique, to harvest crops.[2]

Trivia

  • Despite the fact that Tenshinhan is capable of using this technique due to his unique heritage, other fighters have been shown performing similar feats in anime filler, such as Piccolo. However, only Tenshinhan uses this technique in the manga.
  • Despite showing the hallmarks of an Ability, the Daizenshū classifies this technique as a 'Combo'.
