The Genki Dama Sword is an anime-only Blending-type Ki Manipulation Technique utilized by Trunks that unleashes his strongest technique. It incorporates the Alteration and Accumulation types of Life Cultivation Technique.

Usage

The sword based construct is gathered from all life forms such as animals, humans, plants and other organisms that exist on the planet. Trunks unconsciously created it by absorbing the 'light of humanity' from the Genki Dama while fighting the merged Zamasu. The ki of the Genki Dama resonates with Trunks' aura and his sword, creating a powerful blue construct of ki creating the blade, enveloping the broken sword and creating a gigantic claymore.[4]

The Genki Dama Sword has appeared in numerous video games, consistently under the alternate name Sword of Hope. It debuted in Dragon Ball Heroes. In Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2, it functions as an Ultimate that is a Psuedo-Awakening skill, allowing the user to enhanced a sword with their kin and utilize the Final Hope Slash. In both XenoVerse 2 and Dragon Ball FighterZ, the Genki Dama Sword is utilized by Trunks in a cutscene against the merged Zamasu to finish him off; the FighterZ cutscene also shows Trunks absorbing the Genki Dama to use the move.
