The term "god" (神 or 神様, kami or kamisama) can refer to any of the following:

Terminology

• God of Earth (地球の神様, Chikyū no kamisama; FUNimation "Guardian of the Earth") is the position given to those beings charged with guarding and protecting the planet Earth.
  • God (神（かみ）様（さま）, Kamisama; FUNimation "Kami") was the Nameccian who was responsible for the creation of the Earth's Dragon Balls.
  • Dende (デンデ) is the current god of the Earth.
• Kaiōshin (界（かい）王（おう）神（しん）; Literally meaning "World King God") are deities who have the sole purpose of creation.
  • Nahare (ナハレ) is the current Kaiōshin of the Seventh Universe.
• Hakaishin (破（は）壊（かい）神（しん）; Literally meaning "Destruction God") are deities who are have the sole purpose of destruction.
  • Beerus (ビルス, Birusu) is the current Hakaishin of the Seventh Universe.

Races

• The Glindians (グリンド人（じん）, Gurindo-jin) are a species which produce the Kaiō and the Kaiōshin. The entire species are often referred to as "gods".

Transformations

• Super Saiyan God (超（スーパー）サイヤ人（じん）ゴッド, Sūpā Saiya-jin Goddo) is a heightened transformation of the Saiyan race that brings the Saiyan into deity-status.
• Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (超（スーパー）サイヤ人（じん）ゴッド 超（スーパー）サイヤ人（じん）, Sūpā Saiya-jin Goddo Sūpā Saiya-jin) is a heightened transformation that adds the power of a Super Saiyan God to that of the Super Saiyan transformation.
• Hakaishin Mode (破壊神モード, Hakaishin Mōdo) is a heightened transformation used by Toppo, transforming him into a Hakaishin.
