The Kiai Cannon is a Ki Manipulation Technique where the user fires an invisible, gigantic bundle of ki to attack the opponent.

Usage[]

This technique was first used by Gokū in his battle against Freeza, in which he demonstrates the Kiai Cannon by the user extending their arm to the direction of the target, each of the fingers extended, and charge up their ki to generate a luscious aura surrounding the user. In a split second the invisible ki is expelled instantly hitting the target with a yellow ki sphere. The impact power of the ki was strong enough to completely overpower Freeza.

The technique had little no effect on Gokū's stamina in his Super Saiyan transformation. After being hit with the blow Freeza was unable to regain his mobility, and also injured internally as a result of the attack. Freeza was forced to breathe heavily after being struck with the technique to regain his breath.[5]

Vegetto used a notably more powerful version of this technique, able to vaporize parts of Majin Boo with minimal effort, and implied he could perform the same to the Majin's entire body.[6]

Trivia[]

  • Although the Daizenshū 7 does not list Son Gohan as a user, he has used the technique in the anime and manga.[7] Freeza is an identical case.[8]
