Kuma (クマ) is a bandit in the Mount Paozu area that was defeated by Son Gokū.

Bear confronts Gokū.
During Son Gokū's newfound adventure to take Umigame back to the sea they entered the territory of Bear, who spotted the group with the use of his telescope. As they inched closer Bear stops them from continuing their journey and confronts the group. He asks them to hand over the turtle so he can devour it and threatens them by placing his Azure Dragon Sword towards them. He is taunted by Gokū and recommends to hand over the turtle and he might let him escape, showing the blade of his sword.
Gokū challenges him to a fight, angering his attempt to slice him with his large sword. Bear notices the boy jumping over him and compliments Gokū's speed. Bear then attempts to slice him again-to his surprise Gokū was standing on his sword, shortly jumping on the edge of his nose, then being struck in the face by his Jan Ken in the middle of his eyes defeating him.[2]
