|Literal English||Demon's Penetrating Killing Ray Gun|
|English TV||Special Beam Cannon|
|Viz||Light of Death|
|Manga Debut||Volume 17, Chapter 201|
|Type||Ki Manipulation Technique|
|Parent||Kikōha from the Fingertips|
The technique was created after Piccolo's loss to Gokū during the 23rd Tenka-Ichi Budōkai, and he originally created it with the intention of killing Gokū with it. This dream would later be realized when Goku was killed by the Makankōsappō along with his older brother, Raditz.
To utilize the Makankōsappō, the user places their index and middle finger to their forehead (in a manner akin to the Teleportation from planet Yardrat), and charging their ki to a singular point — the tips of the fingers. When fully charged, the user extends their fingertips forward, releasing two energy blasts; a straight, piercing beam, and an additional beam that coils around it, thus creating an effect similar to a drill or a screw. The technique has been shown with the capability to pierce through targets, and, in the anime, it will explode on an target it can't pierce.
One of the technique's key advantages is it can be used with only a single arm. However, a drawback of the technique is the time is takes to properly build up the ki for the technique's usage.
Similarly to the Kienzan, the Makankōsappō appears to be able to harm, or even kill, targets who are stronger than the user, as Piccolo used the technique to kill Raditz, and Frost agreed that had the Makankōsappō hit him, it would have been bad. It was also able to pierce the dome created by Vados.
- The Son Gohan from the future has shown the ability to use the Makankōsappō in video games despite never having used the skill in the manga or animated specials; this also applies to the Barrier.
