The tack (タック, takku; FUNimation "tak") is one of two known units of measurement — the other is tic — to measure time used among high-ranking deities. According to Whis, 100 tacks is equivalent to 48 Earth minutes.[1]

Trivia []

  • The term may come from "ticktack" (ティックタック, tikku takku), a ticking or tapping beat like that of a clock.
  • Despite travelling to other places within the 7th Universe, such as planets, other units of time have never been mentioned within the series before the "tack," with alien enemies such as Freeza still measuring time within uniform "minutes".
  • If 100 tacks equate to 48 minutes, 2.0833 taks is one minute, and 0.0347 tacks is one second.
  • 3000 tacks is equivalent to 1 Earth day, and 1,095,000 tacks is 1 Earth year.
