Name[]

In Daizenshuu, his name is Piccolo Daimaō (ピッコロ大魔王), different from his son's.
More specifically, in Trunks' case, Daizenshuu uses Kid Trunks (ちびトランクス, Chibi Torankusu) to distinguish the main timeline Trunks from the alternate counterpart Young Man Trunks (青年トランクス, Seinen Torankusu), but it can be used as the official name, 'cause we all know his name is only Trunks. Beside, many characters having more two words in their names can be briefly called by only one (eg. Son Gokū & Gokū, Jaco Teirimentenpibosshi & Jaco, ...) My question, in the manga Piccolo Daimaō originally refered as only Piccolo, but it can be considered as the original name, any citation? --— The Tragedy of L Three Star 11:08, November 29, 2015 (UTC)

The difference with those is they are not 'names'. In the manga and anime, the characters are referred to by their given names, "Piccolo" and "Trunks". It's the same issue with 'Captain Ginyū'. Captain is merely his title, in the same way that "Daimaō" is merely Piccolo's title, and 'Kid' is used for the Present Trunks to help differentiate him. These are not, however, official names, and should not be used as official article titles, but merely go in the infobox in the "other" section for other names used to refer to the character. For example, let's look at BLEACH: they don't title Byakuya Kuchiki's article 'Captain Kuchiki', despite the fact that this is the formal title he is addressed with by about 80% of the main cast. As such, we should not do that here either. Titles do not belong in official article names or used as the official name of the character.—Mina Țepeș Two Star 04:18, November 30, 2015 (UTC)
I don't know much about Bleach wiki, but it's make sense if Daimaō be unanimously considered as the title. --— The Tragedy of L Three Star 14:16, November 30, 2015 (UTC)
