    • So, new arc names for the first half of the series? I'm not against that.

    • In Dragon Ball Digital Color Edition Release, they named the first arc of Part I Son Gokū Training Arc, and now "Boyhood Arc" in Dragon Ball Full Color Release, (which only covering "Z" portion yet).

^Yep. I want to see how this plays out first (Particularly for Part I). For instance, for the Digital Color Edition Release, I have no issues with the "Son Goku Training Arc" nor the "Piccolo Daimao Arc", but I do have an issue with the "Red Ribbon Army Arc", mainly because the arc covers not only the confrontation with the RRA, but the conflicts with the Crane School in the Tenkaichi Budokai and Uranai Baba's tournament. If the Full Color Release breaks up the Red Ribbon Army Arc and makes names for those, then I'll personally consider changing them myself. If not, I personally don't wanna change them on every page... (yep... I'm a tired man these days). But if you guys agree to change them anyway, then there's not much I can do XD

    • I always considered Uranai Baba´s tournament as part of the Red Ribbon Army arc.

I mean from a story structure perspective it fits. The arc begins with Goku looking for the 4 star DB and ends with his reunion with grampa Gohan...T_T

Maybe Toriyama love the number "7", so only 03 story arcs for Part I. Uranai Baba's tournament is too short, approx. 15 chapters, so it's not long enough to be a stand-alone story. The Piccolo Daimao Arc spans 07 volumes and is the longest story, so it can't be there too. That's why merging with RRA Arc is the wisest choice to be brought out.

Sorry, but that's not gonna happen. The first 04 volumes will cover from chapters 1 to 68, going beyond the limit of the first story arc and having partially transgressed the RRA. Moreover, Pre-Z storyline may receives only one story name, and that's it. Unless something changes, no break up.

Shueisha named these arcs, not Toriyama himself.

Cool. Though, in the end of the day, we're still gonna have to choose between DCE and FC when the latter is finished for which story arc names and orderings we use.

    • As recent announcement, Part I's Full Color Edition will conclude with the Piccolo Daimaō Arc, meaning it receives only 02 arcs by Shueisha, one short than Digital Color Edition. Now, it may be the time we choose one to pick up the story arcs.

    • Does the arc division have to be related with how Shueisha divides them in any of the compilation volumes ? Or can we divided indepentely of how they do it ?

    • Yeah, I'd much rather stick with the DCE for arcs names. They make more sense, plus it's less work.
